Friends Action North East Make Art, Make Friends Video

Friends Action North East are a charity based in Newcastle who help adults with learning disabilities in the North East of England to make and keep friends.

In their Make Art, Make Friends project, supported by the Well Newcastle Gateshead Arts Fund, participants have been involved in a range of arts activities, including print and dance. In this video, they showcase what they’ve done to date and express how the project has helped them make friendships. Have a look below!

Northern Powergrid, in partnership with VONNE, will be delivering the following event:

Fuel Poverty: Future: Fairness: Working with you to support vulnerable customers now and in the future

The energy system is transforming and the future holds a number of opportunities to ensure that the most vulnerable in our communities benefit equally from that transformation. 

Northern Powergrid, the electricity distribution network for the North East, Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, already has a programme of work to support their vulnerable customers, with a particular focus on the fuel poor.  They work in partnership with community organisations, health, housing and local authorities to promote, develop and deliver their services more effectively. 

At this event Northern Powergrid, supported by VONNE, wants to have a wider conversation with you about the support they are providing now.  They will also showcase tools and launch the next community partnering fund in partnership with Northern Gas Networks, which enables community groups to tackle issues close to the heart of Northern Powergrid.

At this event Northern Powergrid will look forward and discuss with you opportunities to work collaboratively to ensure that vulnerable customers are a  priority as we move to a new low carbon future.
